City of Alachua Legacy Park Summer Arts Camp

Students will engage days split between various athletics activities including games, sports, and other outdoor activities as well as various artistic mediums, from ceramics and sculpture, to painting and drawing, to creative writing and theater, and even to sewing and fiber arts and more. Each week the camp will focus on a different medium, lead by a practicing professional artist and connected to other important learning goals and objectives via an education director with deep knowledge in the ways these practices can assist in lifelong learning. At the end of the Summer, students will mount on exhibition of works open to the public and showcasing the creative talents they have pursued. Students can sign up for as little as one week but will be encouraged to sign up for all six weeks of the summer program to experience the breadth of creative enrichment that is offered.
