Community Conversation Forum: The "Business" Of the Childcare Business

Research indicates that early education, particularly in the first 1000 days of life, is critical to long-term academic success.

Childcare is essential to support the workforce of today and vital to developing the workforce of tomorrow. There is however a cost to quality early learning education and care. Most independent early learning centers are not making a profit or generating the revenues to cover the costs of a quality early learning education experience. 

The Children’s Trust along with Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, and The Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County have partnered to provide a platform where local business leaders, public policy decision makers, public officials, early learning center owners/ operators, and other community partners gather and explore the business of the childcare industry in Alachua County.
